L’International School of Art for the Creatives

Lisa Chen, often referred to as Ms. Lisa, is trained as an industrial designer at Rhode Island School Design with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, and a graphic designer at the Pratt Institute with a Master of Science degree. She later received her Master in Art Education from Columbia University and is a New York State certified art educator. She began her teaching career in New York City, and have been the Art & Design Department Head at Kang Chiao International School from 2011-2018. Ms. Lisa is an experienced middle and high school art educator, and has established the first AP Studio Art class at Kang Chiao International School and redesigned the school’s Art Curriculum for grades 7-12. Her AP studio art classes have received the highest score ranking from 2013-2017 in Taiwan. She has also counseled and guided her art students in attending top art and design schools in the USA, Uk, Australia with some receiving scholarships up to USD $130,000 for full time BFA degree at prestigious art and design schools.

 

In 2014, Lisa and her father established an independent art institute, L’International School of Art for the Creatives (LISAC), dedicated to high quality art education. The mission of the school is to use inspirational and creative ways to enhance teaching and learning in the art and design fields based on the best practices of American Art Education. One of the school’s main concerns is the development of student’s ability to think creatively while teaching art appreciation. The school ultimately guides students to attend top art and design institutes internationally, and provide students with the ability to compete and succeed when they go through higher education, and when they begin working in the art and design field.

L’International School of Art for the Creatives provides a supportive environment to educate its art students in the creation and appreciation of art and design works, while using differentiated instructions. The school educates its students to acquire the ability to think critically and creatively in their art making based on the best practices of American Art Education.
